Albatrellus subrubescens

Albatrellus subrubescens is a quite common terricolous polypore growing under Pinus sylvestris, often in large groups. It is very close to Albatrellus ovinus (growing under Picea), from which it may be separated on account of the amyloid spores and of the orange colours at the base of the stipe. (m.f.)
