Original diagnosis

Pileus 1,6-2,6 cm diam., conico-campanulatus, convexus vel in centro tandem depressus, primo intense fusco-nigro-purpureus (between Dull Purplish Black and Aniline Black), sed mox decoloratus et roseo-purpureus (between Hellebore Red and deep Hellebore Red), dein fere albus, irregulariter pallido-roseo-purpureo (Pale Purple Drab) tinctus, margine subroseo (Rhodonite Pink); margo laevis vel leviter tuberculata; superficies pilei sub lente minute granulato-punctata. Lamellae usque 0,25 cm altae, albae, ad marginem pilei late rotundatae vel obtusae. Stipes 1-2 cm longus, ad basim 0,45-0,7 cm latus, clavatus, albus. Caro alba, acerrima. Superficies pilei e zonis duabus composita; zona inferior 26-50 µm lata, hyphis parallelis hyalinis, perangustis, indistinctis, dense compactis et valde agglutinatis; zona superior 20-50 µm lata, hyphis erectis, implexis, ramosis, coralloideis, ramulis subcylindricis vel irregularibus, 2,0-2,5 µm latis, et dermatocystidiis prominentibus. Dermatocystidia abundantia, 25,0-65,0 x 4,75-6,75 µm, clavata, plerumque nonseptata vel aliquando 1-septata ex epicute prominentia. Pleurocystidia et cheilocystidia 52-64 x 8-9 µm, clavata vel fusiformia, muris tenuibus. Basidia 33,8-52,0 x 8,0-9,0 µm, quadrispora, hyalina, clavata. Sporae (7,0) 8,0-10,0 (10,5) x 6,0-7,0 µm, distincte et conspicue elongatae, vel latae ellipsoideae vel ovatae, verrucis amyloideis humilibus obtusis et lineis tenuibus vel cristis amyloideis interconnexis ornatae.
